Strategy for people going somewhere different.
I’ve always been drawn to the places where strategy, creativity, & people intersect. My career began at a small restaurant marketing company in a major metropolitan area, where I worked across nearly every part of the business. I managed purchasing, shipping, customer service, accounts receivable, & helped design websites for clients. Being part of a small business as it grew taught me early on that every part of a business is connected, & that the best ideas still have to work in the real world.
Over the past 15+ years, I’ve built businesses, led organizations, developed marketing strategies, managed teams, organized community initiatives, & turned ideas into things that actually happen.
My background is a little unconventional,
& that’s exactly the point.

I went on to build & operate a creative education studio, where I learned how to create something from the ground up, build a community around it, manage the day-to-day realities of running a business, & turn creative ideas into sustainable experiences. In tandem, running a booming professional portrait & wedding photography business for 10 years.
Most recently I served as the Executive Director of the Albert Lea Convention & Visitors Bureau for six years, where I led strategic marketing, community initiatives, event promotion, organizational planning, budgeting, partnerships, & public outreach.
Across every role, I kept finding myself drawn to the same work:
Seeing the bigger picture.
Finding the opportunity.
Figuring out what comes next.
& then making it happen.
That’s where RōVE came from.
I believe most people don't need more ideas.
They need clarity.
They need someone to step outside the situation, look at the whole picture, ask the questions they may not be asking themselves, & help turn a tangled problem into a direction forward.
That’s what I do.

I work with people & businesses who are building something, changing something, launching something, or simply trying to figure out what comes next.
Sometimes that means solving a specific problem.
Sometimes it means creating a strategy.
Sometimes it means taking a step back & realizing the answer is somewhere completely different than where you started looking.
My background is built on doing.
I’ve managed organizations, led teams, created marketing campaigns, developed websites, promoted events, managed budgets, built communities, worked with clients, & turned ideas into action.
I understand both sides of strategy:
The big picture, & the messy middle.
The vision is important.
But so is figuring out:
-
What actually needs to happen next
-
What can wait
-
What's getting in the way
-
Where your time & energy are best spent
-
How to turn a good idea into something real
Why RōVE?
Because I don't believe there is one right way to build a business, an organization, or a life.
There is your way. & sometimes finding it requires a little clarity, a different perspective, or someone willing to ask:
What if you went somewhere different?
That's where I come in.
